Interesting Books

This book is slightly dated now but has a good summary of the energy situation facing the world currently. The author is the head of the Berkeley Earth group and the book focuses on the pros and cons of various energy sources and energy efficiency initiatives.
One of the guys behind okcupid analyzes data from the site's users. Analyzes racial patterns in dating/attraction, what bits of information from a person's dating profile you can use to predict other information about that person, etc. Really interesting book if you like data.
Guy that writes XKCD tries to give scientifically reasonable answers to the often ridiculous questions that people ask him.
